This is the first I have heard of this. Some of the history books of Covington County, Ala and Conecuh County indicated Radford L. was a Methodist Minister. I have not been able to find any prove that he was. My g. g. grandfather, West Florida Cotton, was married at the Methodist-Epispocal Church in Beaumont, Texas to Mary Almira Hart, dau of William Henry Hart and Elizabeth Herrington. The Harts from Conecuh Co., Ala and the Herringtons from Butler County, Ala, as were my Spiveys.
