Dear Stacy: There are a lot of Cottons in Indiana, those of Indianapolis and north are from Pennsylvania, New England and mine inthe southern half of Indiana. If you will let me know who and where your Cottons are, will be able to tell you if the book "JAMES COTTON
(1775-1813) His Kinfolk" which Al and I published in 1993 will be of any help to you.
Don't believe you could have a use for it if your not of that line of Cottons which came north out of south Carolina, his father William Cotton was born in Henry/Franklin Co. Virginia and he was born on the Smith River of that area.
