Dear Mary J.Since your Cottons came from Beave Creek Co, PA, and then across to Holmes County, Ohio, and then helped found Whitley County,Indiana, they are part of what we call "The Catfish Cottons". We have never been able to do much with those people as they appear to have migrated there from New England. Ours came from Virginia and then to Kentucky and then into southern Indiana. The book "JAME COTTON (1775-1813)His Kinfolk"
is about the son of William Cotton Rev.War soldier who came up north from South Carolina and died in Franklin County, Indiana in 1833.
We are interested in your Pennsylvania Cotton family and would appreciate any information you wish to share.Looking forward to hearing from you. Margaret
