For the record, to help anyone who is interested, the six daughters of Sir Thomas were: 1. Philadelphia m. Thomas Boycott, of Henton, in Shropshire. See - The Baronetage of England or the History of the English Baronets, and such Baronets of Scotland as are of English Families; with Genealogical Tables and Engravings of Their Armorial Bearings. Vol III. Rev William Betham, London 1803. Digitised by Google. 2. Sophia, did not marry. Will, 1767, left bequests to sisters Philadelphia Boycott, widow, any daughters of Maria Salusbury, sister Sidney Arabella (also executrix). See UK National Archives 3. Hester Maria m. John Salusbury (Michael Cotton, GenForum, Nov 2008, confirmed by other documents cited here). 4. Sidney Arabella who did not marry, died 1781 at Bath, a maiden aunt of HLT [?]. She was sister to Hester Maria Cotton Salusbury, HLT’s mother (c 1707-1773). [I did not record who HLT was and can no longer look at this page from the letters and journals of Fanny Burney using Google]. http://books.google.co.nz/books?id=dGUFbDqvmS4C&pg=PA30&lpg=PA30&dq=%22sidney+arabella+cotton%22&source=bl&ots=UOD6aP2RE8&sig=yg_Jr_YjkKSb4VUKMj4ZDuMJV9M&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=4&ct=result#PPA30,M1 5. Vere died in 1730 age 16. The surviving daughters then were Philadelphia Boycot, Sophia, Hester Maria and Sidney Arabella. See http://books.google.co.nz/books?id=9WIwAAAAIAAJ&pg=PA522&lpg=PA522&dq=vere+cotton&source=bl&ots=gompyTwCtA&sig=mcP8EeJjv00j8MRwNW4bizNr1mo&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=3&ct=result#PPA521,M1 6. Unknown. Betham (#1 above) mentions six daughters. I assume she died as a child. Notify Administrator about this message?
