Hi Jean, thanks so much, you helped me a GREAT deal! I was spelling Wilbanks with one "L"...I should know to try various spellings by now! You definitely pointed me in the right direction, will begin the search for Elizabeth Davis Wilbanks maiden name.
John B Cotton remarried in 1896 to Virginia "Jennie" Pratt, she was 20 years younger than J B.....reckin he took after his step-father-in-law Wilbanks (lol)?
I don't know if I mentioned this, but I can remember my mom and aunts referring to Jennie Cotton as "Aunt Jennie Pratt".
