You correctly found the move from TX to CA. That was where they had children including my father. The missing child in your list is Dennis. Constance (Connie) died in 2006 in Oregon. Dennis died about 10 years ago in Arizona. I have Arthur now as Arthur Theo, also immigrating to Texas and ultimately a death 14 June 1930 in Tarrant, Texas. I believe the most likely parents for Leonard are Lofton and Clarissa Cotton. No hard proof of this but all the circumstantial evidence is strong. And as I understand the "Special Ranger" designation, in a nutshell they were given duties like guarding railroads and such but didn't chase bad guys.
