This John Cotten: In 1850 He was in Warren Co Tenn.

The Census says he was 77 (written clearly).

His wife died a few days before the census was taken.

He is buried in Cotten Cemetery Warren Co Tenn.

His Gravemarker/Headstone says: Dates: LOST.

His wife has the dates on her side of the same headstone.

The headstone looks to be quite old. Being very old and being in Cotten Cemetery in a county with many of his descendants living at the time of the headstone being made - and stil saying Dates: LOST. - is probably a clue for us.
