John Thomas who is named in the deed as a witness alongside John Wills was married to Ann Cotten though she had died sometime previous to 1728. His mother was a Hill so the Hills named in the transaction were probably his relatives. I don't know if the Richard Wills who was born in 1702 in Isle of Wight County is the same man as the husband of Prisilla Cotten, but if he was, he was at least 30 years older than his wife. As I said, I have doubts that Priscilla (Cotten) Wills is the same Priscilla Wills mentioned in Mary Cotten's will. Do you know of any other Wills men in that area who was married to a Priscilla? There are a number of records from Northampton County, NC which name members of both the Wills and Cotten families.
