We are searching for descendants of Zachariah Cotton, Sr. and wife Mary Ann Stroup through their sons, Jesse Ray, John, Zachariah, Lewis, and Andrew. We believe that we are "possibly" descended from one of his sons. We have had our DNA profile done and match some of the Cottons on the Cotton DNA website. We are trying to establish, through DNA, that we do or do not descend from one of the Cotton sons. We are also seeking a Dunlap from the line of William Dunlap and Hannah of Laurens County, South Carolina, which is our Dunlap Family line as we know it, to compare the results and rule out any misconceptions on our part. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have been working on this brick wall for ten years and this is our first break through.
