Looking for the parents of Elizabeth Merridith Cotton. Born 3/26/1808 in TN. Married to John R. Scott ca. 1825 in TN. Died 4/26/1896 in Burnet Co., TX. Place of birth of her parents was SC. Her father's name may have been James Merridith or Caleb. Elizabeth also lived in Osage Co. (now Gascanade) MO for several years before coming to Texas.
