Franklin Co.,In.Will Bk.C,pg.477-481 - Probate October Court 1834 of William Cotton names sons: David, James, Joseph, & William & dau. Mary Cremar, Phebe Cotton & Rachel Cotton. David Cotton remained in S.Carolina. James Cotton died in Madison Co., Ky. Joseph appears on 1840 census of Franklin Co.,IN. with 8 children. Wrote book on James.
