Searching for any information of the family of Jacob Cotton and Cynthia Watts Cotton, I believe she was born about 1826. In a 1860 Census she was 34. Children - My grandmother Mary Jane, b 5 Sept. 1844 Born in Marion County AL married in Caldwell County, TX on 10 Jul 1864 to Wm. Newton Hadden. She married under the name of Mary Jane Smith (I have never found a marriage record for this. Mary Janes siblings are William L, Martha AC, George A, James W
