Dear Dennis,
Quite obviously, you couldn't have received my first message, because I messed up posting it. (If it can be messed up on a computer, I'm the woman to do it. I hope it's not a family trait, for your sake.)Anyway, I am the daughter of Richard Cotton, who was the son of Clifford Schreiber Cotton and Marion Clements. Oh, I hope you are still interested in this stuff - I see that you posted this years ago. I know that my grandfather, Clifford S. Cotton, had children wtih another woman after he and my grandmother parted. Are you from that branch of the family? If not, who are you?? I would be so interested to find out anything I can. I am sort of the family archivist, but because of the unusual circumstances, my grandmother didn't talk much about the Cotton side of the family, and of course, I never knew my grandfather.

My beloved dad has passed away, and I would like to find out as much about his family as I can. My two surviving uncles do not seem to want to discuss it, but they are very tolerant of me, their curious neice. Please reply to me as soon as you can!

Thank you,

Janet Cotton Pulverenti
