Tori: No, our George W. was not from KY, and the dates are not right. I am wondering about your family "connections". You mention that in your family history the date for George and Mary was 1824, but no date was given for William R., etc. Are you working from the Williams Blue Book by any chance? I can't find your name there, but of course there are several Clarks and several Cottons. When I looked for your email address on Genforum, it showed only "hidden", so I have not been able to contact you. Do you want to keep it that way? If so, please just send via Genforum your connections with the Williams and Cottons. It will be very interesting to me to learn where your info comes from, if you are not looking at the Blue Book. Any new angle can be helpful. And of course, some information in that book could be wrong, because it was compiled from questionnaires sent to family members many years "after the fact", when it comes to the oldest Williams brothers we know about. I have the feeling that Winnifred's date could be late, and there is always the chance that only one of the brothers married a Cotton. There is also the great possibility, in my mind, that there were more children than the four brothers we have named, given the fact that there were usually large families in the Williams clan. I would appreciate your identifying yourself. Gordon Smith gordonsmith@cablelynx.com Notify Administrator about this message?
