James W. Cotton was born February 2, 1851 in Milam Co., Texas. He married Rebecca Crown and after her death he married Alice Evans.

Etta James Cotton, born February 12, 1885 in Hayes Co., Texas
From stories from my Grandmother (Etta), her father was a lumber jack in Otero Co., James Canyon, Cloudcroft, New Mexico.
After she married William Thomas Brantley, they lived in Otero Co., James Canyon, Cloudcroft, New Mexico and I know 3 of the 5 children were born there. My mother in 1906, my uncle William in 1908, and my aunt Lillian in 1910.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
