Here is what I have. CHARLES'S grandfather was THOMAS COTTON BORN 1743 IN Edgefield Co. SC. Married ANN BIRD (poss. Choctaw Indian "Bird Family" I havn't proven it but Samuel probably got his middle name from ANN BIRD. I have and ELIJAH COTTON born 1789 who was a brother to Charles.
