I'm looking for any info on Wesley D. Cotton who was sheriff on Jefferson County Texas from 85/1850 to 9/23/1851. He married Elizabeth Booth on Nov. 7, 1851 in Jefferson Co. TX. Possibly father of Benjamin F. Cotton (b.4/7/1855 d. 4/4/1944) Who were forefathers of Wesley D. and where did he go after being Texas Sheriff. any info appreciated.
