Linda: Thank you for your recent post. Were you saying that you have more information to post, for the rest of us to think about? Or did you post what you have? For a long time I have been trying to find which Cotton family or families two of my ancestors belonged to. We have been spelling it Winnifred, but it could have been Winifred, and she married William R. "Buck" Williams. He was born in 1793, and she was born in 1807. Mary Cotton, wife of George W. Williams, was born in 1805 in Georgia. It is probable that they were in NC or SC at the time of their marriage. Both Williams brothers and wives were in Pickens County, AL, we believe, and moved on to Choctaw County, MS, in about 1836. Do any of these names go with what you have? Would appreciate your checking and replying. Gordon Smith
