I don't know if this will help but i have heard a Stephen Cotton was my greatgreat grandfather. My gGrandfather was Tolbert Cotton 1858-1912 Grayson county,ky. tolbert was married to Ellen Woolen-1868-1919 also Grayson County. Have heard Stephen Cotton was married and had 4 children with first wife and married Elizabeth Wilson and they had 9 children. I have copies of death cert. of Tolbert--Ellen__Elizabeth Cotton. on Tolberts bcert. says his Mother was Juda Pitman.
also have heard names of other children were-Sherman-Nathanial-Steve-Pleasant-Aberham Lincoln-
