Wow! thanks! Do you know anything about Thomas Cotton's parents or Barbara Ann's Brother Nathaniel? From what I have been able to piece together, Thomas's father was first married to Elizabeth Prewitt(Pruitt), after she died he remarried Sarah Ann (Sally) Tudor, Martha Tudor's sister. Probably about the same time that Thomas married Martha Ann Tudor. I have heard that William's father was James, but I have no proof of that. We know really nothing about the Cotton's before William. Do you know anything about the Cotton's? What little bit about Thomas's siblings I have gleaned from Madison Co. KY censuses.
I errored in my last message Barbara Ann was born in 1858, not 48.
Again thanks again for filling in some gaps in my knowledge of my ancestors.
I find it interesting to note that my Grandmother must have known her grandmother and grandfather Cotton, but I don't remember her ever talking about them. She had children of her own when they died. (My father was born just the year after Thomas Cotton died.)
