I have a connection through John Shearme Cottle b. 1790 who married Mary Moyse.Their daughter, Mary Jane Cottle, b. 25.12.1840 married George Heywood (b. 2.10.1834) on 6.3.1862 in Morwenstow.George Heywood was the son of Joseph Heywood b. 18.5.1806 (wife Maria Jennings) and the grandson of Walter Heywood and Anne Beckalake. My grandmother's father was a "Heywood" from this line but it's difficult to show the line in an e-mail.If you are interested, I could post a copy of my family tree showing more detailed information, including that of John Shearm Cottle b. 23.9.1838 (son of the John Shearme mentioned above. There are lots of John Shearmes and I haven't got to grips with them all yet.I have a photograph of the grave of John Shearm THE 16TH in Woodford cemetery (next to Morwenstow) who was born in 1865 and died 1888 and the 14th and 15th are also there.I noticed from a follow up that there is also a connection with the Warmingtons. My grandmother's mother was a Warmington but I can't find a link with Simon Cottle.Hope this is of some use. Please let me have your address if you want more.I live in Surrey, England.Best wishes, Janet
