My father, Alfred Cote, was also from Lowell,son of Joseph, son of Elie, son of Louis.
I was able to find my entire Cote line, back to Jean Cote,(the father of the Canadian Cotes), at the American-Canadian Genealogical Society in Manchester NH. If you can't get there, I think they will research a family line for a very small fee.
