Seeking any help on finding out who my greatgrandmother really was!
Per 1920 USC Windham County VT - she was "Millie", age 57, born Canada (born @1863)
Marriage transcipt of Redford, Clinton County, NY shows her as CARMEN COUTURE.
Death record of her husband Pierre/Peter Laflamme - 12 March 1931 at Easthampton MA shows her as MELLE COTE.
Affidavit for birth of my grandfather, given by her sister Ida (Mrs. John LaRock) stated her name as PARMELIER.
Marriage record of my grandfather shows his mother as MILLIE COOTEE.
I cannot find any birth or death records for her, nor whether she was a Cote or Couture.
Have these two surnames been interchanged regulary?
