Hello cousin:

My GGGG-grandparents were Pierre Cote and Marie Louise Delage. I am descended through thier child Libere Cote who married Louis Joseph Godere dit Lacillarde on Feb. 1, 1842 at Notre Dame de St. Hyacinthe, P.Q. Libere Cote b. 1816 died in 1908 and is buried in West Brookfield, Massachusetts. Her husband Louis Joseph Godere died in West Brokfield, MA on Jan. 22, 1899 and his burial while said to be in Warren, Ma but no actual burial site can be found. They had the following children: Louis Joseph Godaire (my GG-grandfather), Pierre Godaire, Paul E. Godaire, Alexandre godaire. (note name change to Godaire from Godere)
All that I have on Pierre Cote and Marie Louise Delage is that they were married on Sept. 29, 1812 at St. Hyacinthe, P.Q.(stated on their marriage record sent to me from St. Hyacinthe church records.)
It is said as oral tradition in the family that Louis Joseph Godere walked to Massachusetts from Canada and built his home in West Brookfield himself. The house still stands greatly changed however.

I can respond my snail mail address should you desire info on later generations.

Best regards, Ken Bailey
