I've just learned, thanks to a kind helper in Ontario, the name of Lydia COTE's parents: William COTE (Possibly CATER or CATERS)and Sarah Finn. Lydia was born in NY, NY in 1842; somehow ended up in Canada, and married William TRICK abt. 1860. Died in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada on April 5, 1915. I am really interested in this name variation: is the CATER or CATERS a common or uncommon variant of COTE? If anyone has information on this or on Lydia or her parents, please contact me.
