I have in my database, the family of Gabriel COTE and Elisabeth VAILLANCOURT. Of the 8 children that are listed, there is none named Romain. None of the sons in this family listing were married to a Michaud. This is not to say that there may have been a son, Romain, that I have not picked up on.
I checked the other two marriages of the same Gabriel COTE, and there are 6 children from each marriage shown---none of whom are named Romain.

Most likely, my information is not complete, and omits your ancestor.
