Hello:
Theophile Soucy and Philomene were members of St Francois-Xavier Church in New Brunswick.
Their children, Theophile Jr, ,Anathalie, Leda, Edith, Anathalie, Isaie, Edith, Hercule and Thomas all were baptized there. St Francois-Xavier started out as a mission church of St Basile, became a parish in 1859 not 1869. I have found all of the baptismal entries in the records for the parish. They evidently lived in the area until about 1887 or 88. They then had another daughter, Agne,s born in Northern Maine abt 1888.
Philomene's father was Isaie Cote. Her mother is unknown. It may have been Scholastique Dio (Hion, Guyon). isaie Cote b.1808 (son of Romain Cote and Appolline Michaud) in L' Isle Verte married this woman. They had a daughter, Marie Philomene born in 1842. The marriage was annulled ( ! ) and he then married Emiie Dessin dite St Pierre in St. Simon, Matane, Quebec in 1849.
A different Isaie Cote b. 1813 (son of Prosper Cote and Marie Anne Michaud) married Marie Rose Normandin dite LaJoie. They had a daughter, Marie Philomene born in 1839.
