Dear Janet, Thanks for sharing your research of the Cote ancestry. Since I have numerous Cote in my family tree, I am interested in what you have found. I would like to clarify the information you have regarding #42 iii- Jacques Cote (1686-1734). You state that Marie-Genevieve Cauchon (Couchon) dite Lamothe was Jacques Cote's first wife but in reality she was his third wife and the information you have about her is correct. Marie-Madeleine Rondeau was Jacques Cote's first wife and the information you have about her is correct. Jacques Cote second wife was Therese-Elisabeth-Catherine Lambert dite Briere (1682-1730) widow of Jean Gatin whom he married on April 26, 1713 St-Nicolas, PQ. This couple had 5 sons and 3 daughters. (1) Joseph 1714-14, (2) Louis-Joseph 1716-, (3) Genevieve-Louise 1719-68, (4) Michel-Augustin 1721-, (5) Marie-Charlotte 1723-, (6) Louis-Joseph-Pierre 1726-, (7) Marie-Josephte (twin) 1729-49, (8) Joseph (twin) 1729-29. I hope this will help you with your research. Sincerely, Roger Notify Administrator about this message?
