Greetings John,
According to information at the Van Buren Public Library
Alexandre Desrosiers and Marie Putman (note difference in name) on the name you mentioned. In the baptisms lists 3 children are included - Alexandre baptized in 1849, Ange baptized in 1851 and Caroline baptized in 1865.
I did not record where I got this bit of info but there is a son, Jean-Baptiste, buried at Saint-André de Madawaska, New Brunswick who died in 1944 at the age of 76.
I would appreciate it if you could correct any errors in the above info.
Now according to Linda Cote Dube in her 5-volume set of books on the Cote family
Marie Cote is the daughter of Putman Nicolas Cote and Angelique Vaillancourt. He is the son of Augustin Cote and Madeleine Dufour who were married oct. 5, 1803 at Ile-Verte, QC. He is the son of Prisque Cote and Genevieve Lepage who is the son of Prisque Cote and Ursule Bernier. He is the son of Jean-Baptiste Cote and Francoise-Charlotte Choret. He is the son of Jean-Baptiste Cote and Anne Couture and he is the son of Jean ote and Anne Martin. This last Jean is the first Cote to settle this side of the Atlantic.
I do not have any of the mothers' lines.
(For some reason I was not able to put any accents on the above names, my message disappeared twice before I figured out what had gone wrong. )
