You might want to peruse this site. When the site comes up, click on the book that says "catalog". Scroll down, you will see "Canada"..continue to scroll and click on "Metis and First Nations" You will see a lists of names associated with Metis etc. Keep scrolling and you will find the titles of many books and what they contain. It's a big site. I am also a Coté and looking for Indian connections. Let me know what you find if anything. I have not begun to research that side of my heritage yet. Hope this helps.
