It is possible for 1st cousins but definitely alot more for second cousins (first cousins once removed). In fact my parents are second cousins. Have published the Cote Genealogy Books (5 volume set). My ancestors also come from Isle Verte. In fact, I live right on the Canadian border but in ME. Madawaska County was settled by both Acadians & Quebecois ancestors & is known as the cradle between the two cultures & serves both Canada & US. The river separates the 2 countries with the Webster-Ashburton Treaty. All our ancestors were Canadians. Email me at linda@nci1.net
