Hello,
My last name was Cota and I was also told years ago that the real name was cote and when they came over to the states from canada they change it to Cota..

My Dad Robert J Cota was the oldest of 10 children and have no idea what his grandmother and grandfathers name are and would like to find out, if anyone knows. He lived in New york State and was born June 29th 1929. His Mothers name was Helen Hull and his father name was Joseph cota.

Names of his brother's and sister's are Ted,Donald,Danny,Earl,Thomas,luella,Harriet,Rita..

Well hopefully someone will know ..
Thanks
