Benjamin Franklin Coston, dob 7/20/1821 in Philadelphia-Parents:Joseph & Mary; Naval Officer;inventor;pyrotechnic enginer -married Martha Jane Scott 1844. Per Martha's records filed at the grave site Coston's were from France - Martha completed husband's inventions, patented them, licensed them and started her own company Coston (Marine) Supply Company which was still operating in New York City in the mid 1970's - Other family lore staets 3 brothers came from Great Britain and got land grants in Del-Mar-Va pennisula-they changed spelling of their names to prevent confusion over land: Coston, Costen, Costin.
