Between Clunbury and Clungunford, in the parrish of Clunbury, County of Salup (now Shropshire), England are places named Coston, Coston Cottage, Coston Hall and Coston Manor, referenced in Doomsday Book (1086). Swein, Picot, Hopton and others seem to have held title until John de Coston acquired the land 1300. In 1317 John de Coston died leaving it to William de Coston, age 13. I can add more history if anyone is interested. SteveC
