This seems to be a good posting board for the Costner family. I never dreamed I'd find folks from this lineage other than the locals in Clevleand Co.,NC. I have a pretty good database on the Costner Families. In my database, I had only the (2) marriages for David Jefferson Costner (1st) Mary Reed (2nd) Letha Stevenson. I only had birth dates for both David and Mary Reed and no dates for Letha. Would like to get more details on their marriages/deaths/burials, etc. Where was David and Letha COstner living at their death (Ark or Miss)? I did not locate this family in the Soundex of ARK for 1900/1910 as a Costner family. Would like to know siblings for each wife also. I have a good bit of info and I'm more than willing to share. If you have any type of Genealogy programs we can trade attached GED File Emails.
I have that David Haywood Costner was married about 4 times and has siblings from each marriage. I have some info on some of his siblings but very few. Would like to share info with you.
You also mention two brothers of Mary "Mollie Costner - Walter & Jim Costner. Can you provide me any more info on them. I have come across a James Cleveland Costner who lived in the Greensboro,NC area who had listed on his death certificate that he was Born in Little Rock,Ark and was born 1892. Could this possibly be the same Jim Costner in NC?

(3) Jacob Costner,Sr (30 May 1726 Germany - 11 Jan 1779 Lincoln Co., NC) Married Elizabeth Brooks Hoyle ( Born @ 1722 VA - 16 Jan 1779 Lincoln Co., NC)
Eariliest ancestor Adam Kastner died 1767 in Tryon Co., NC. He came to America in mid 1740's from Germany on the Ship Patience into Philadelphia, PA.
