I have a pretty good database on the Costner families. Info I have has your father/mother and your siblings. Would like to get more info on your immediate family. Do you have Genealogy program? I have both Family Tree Maker & PAF which we can share info in a GED file if you'd like to.

Siblings of Tollie that you notes are: (1) Tolly Elven "Elve" Costner (11 Oct 1930 Burke Co., NC) (2) Bobby Adam Costner (6 Feb 1942 Burke Co., NC) Married Brenda Kay Lowman 12 May 1964 in Burke Co., NC. There are some Costner's Named Cletus and Essie May but they are not in your direct lineage. If you could give me more info on theirs spouses names or children, I can locate them in my data base.

I have additional genrations back to late 1600's in Germany. Earilest ancestor in America is Adam Kastner who died in 1767 in Tryon Co., NC. He was first settler in NC of this family and came to Americal around mid 1740's from Germany. A book was published by Charles L. COstner/Melanie COstner Synder in June 1996 but does not include any Descendants past George R. Costner (Did not list his wife either only his other 2 brothers which was taken mostly from Census records). Book has been reprinted again this year and can be purchased from Charles L. Costner. Since that time I have pieced together these familes from Court house records,OBITS and correspondence with other people in this family. There will be another big reunion in May 1999 (meets every four years) around Dallas,NC. Exact date hasn't been set yet but probably 3rd or 4th week in May.
