Seeking Info on a Great Great Uncle John Costner who married
Lucy Mitchell. I think she first married Levi Costner who
died and is buried at liberty Cemetary in DeKalb County, Al.
John Costner ran a sawmill at Hobb's Island on the Tn.
River. A Black man insulted Aunt Lucy and John Costner
cut him with a knife in the front yard killing him. Costner
changed his name to John Riggins/Reggins and moved to
chipley Florida. He was born in 1858 and died in 1955.
