Dunwoody Costley (also spelled Cosley, Costly, Cosly) married Mary Walston in 1828 in Jackson County GA. They are subsequently found in Troup County Estate Records. Per census of 1830 he is in Jackson County GA, and in 1840, Meriwether Co. GA. In 1850 he is in Tallapoosa County, AL. In 1860 he is in Heard County, GA, and in 1880, Carroll County GA. According to the 1850 and 1860 census records, those living in his household are: Mary (wife), Rueben P., Rowenna or Reanna, Louisa E., Nancy D., Arminda C. (Minda), Warrington/Warrenton D., James, William, Martha, and Cynthia M.. Believe he may be a brother of William and Warrenton Costley/Costly found in Chambers County, AL, and possibly Michael Cosly found in Jackson County in 1820. Any information about these Costleys would be very much appreciated.
