My grandmother was Mary Daley Sullivan/Scully. She came to the US in 1907and lived with my grandfather John Francis Daley, their 2 sons Thomas Francis Daley (my fahter) and John Francis Daley Jr. My grandmother and grandfather and children lived in a house owned by my great aunt Margaret Costine and her husband John on Osborn St in Prov RI. My uncle Dennis lived there too. Dennis passed away in 1918 and my grandmother passed away in 1920 she was only 33 yrs old. I have another great-uncle, John Sullivan/Scully who settled in Bridgeport CT and raised his family there, plus another great-uncle Humphrey Scully who settled out west and pased away in Klamath Falls. He kept the last name of Scully. The sister and brothers who remained in Kealties Ireland also alway kept the name Scully. A while back I read a post by Tom Sullivan from Bridgport CT whose family had originally had the last name of Scully which was changed to Sullivan except for his great-uncle Humphrey Scully who lived out west. Same as me....he also posted that he had relatives who settled in Prov RI, which is where my family did settle. I am wondering if he has a great-aunt by the name of Marguerite. If so, I am almost postive he is my cousin. If he still reads these posts, please contact me. Our family history seems very similar and it would be great to correspond w/a family member. Hope to hear from Tom Sullivan soon.
