My Costers originated in Holland & went out to Suriname & were in the timber business. Archibald M. Coster wrote a paper on the Maroons in the Colony of Suriname, Their Life, Customs & Habits in 1851. His son, Maurice I. Coster was born in Paramaribo, Dutch Guiana in 1856. If this sounds familiar, let's talk. I don't know where in Holland this Coster family originated.
