Looking for ancestors of George Ernst Julius Coster (Koster) born 1850 in Niedermeiser, Hessen, Germany. Son of Johann Christoph Koster and Maria Sophia Mayer. Emigrated in 1869 firstly to London, England and then moved north to Edinburgh, Scotland. Changed his surname to Coster early in the 20th century. Married Margaret Plenderleith in 1871. Was a well respected and skilled gunmaker as was his father and uncle Cornelius?. Descendants of George emigrated to Alberta and New Brunswick, Canada.
