I am interested in information on the Coston/Costin/Costens etc, specifically a Henry Costine/Coston who moved to Colleton Co.SC from probably NC. He had some connection with the Lopers in Colleton Co.
SC. These Lopers moved to Colleton from Onslow and New Hanover Co. NC and since there are Costin/Coston/Costens in these NC counties, I believe that my Henry came from there soon after the Rev War with the Lopers. Henry Coston applied for his Rev War Pension in the same letter that Dolly Loper was applying for her late husband's pension.
Looking at NC Rev War records, I have found this Henry Costen:
