I am looking for family information on Bill Spivey, birth name of William Edwin Spivey, b. 19 March 1929 (Walter Robins, GA... can't find this), d. 8 May 1995. He played basket for Kentucky, had a big scandal going, but that's not what I'm interested in right now. I have all that information. I am trying to find anyone who may know who his family was. Everything I have found on him just goes into detail about his Basketball career and everything that had to do with that, but I cannot find any family history online, nor even an obituary giving me names. I am told he has a son, a doctor, in SC. Bill was only 66 when he died, he was living in his home at Quepos, Costa Rica at the time. He died of natural causes.
Anyone out there who might know who his family was I sure would like to hear from you. When I was a little girl, less than 10, we got a visit in Oregon from a Bill Spivey and he was over 7' tall, had to hunch way over to get into our house. I would love to know if this Bill Spivey & the basketball Spivey are one in the same and which Spivey family he belonged to. In fact I was told we had at least 2 cousins from way back that were over 7 foot tall. Haven't found a second one yet.

I couldn't for the life of me find Walter Robins, GA where they say he was born. I did find a place called Warren Robins, GA but I'm not sure they are the same, just mispelled by someone?????
