Info. on realitives of Costa family. Marion Costa and his wife Maria (Santos) Costa came to Haw. (Hilo) from the Azores (probable the island of San Migel) sometime in middle to late 1800's. I think they either came over with other family, or some family was already in Haw. I know we still have family in Hilo, as one of the (uncles) visited my Grandparents here somewhere in the early 1950's. At that time he was mayor of Hilo and had aprx. 9 boy's. Some of those children should still be in or around Hilo. Marion and family moved to Oakland (I'm not sure what year, but after 1903). Marion died in Oakland around 1941 and Maria about 1928. They had 5 surviving children, one who is my 95 yr. old Grandmother. Their names were: Rose (Deluca)...Sam..John..and Annie (Kevern) and Gussie (Lundgren). Hopeing to contact family of either surename; Costa or Santos who was in Hilo during these times.
