I have a N.J. Coss ggrandmother. Here is the information I have on her:
Catharine B. Coss:
The 1900 N.J. Middlesex Co., New Brunswick NJ, census shows she immigrated to U.S. in 1872 (1910 census says 1874). 1900 census says she is 38 years old, yet born May 1858 (1910 census says she was 48). I suspect she was born 1862-1863. 1900 & 1910 census birth place just says Ireland.
Catharine died young on 10 Oct 1916. She had 12 children with 9 surviving infancy. Based on the birth of their first son, I suspect she was married in mid to late 1883 - I have not found a marriage certificate yet. I have also not been able to find her on the 1880 NJ or NY census - to find out who she was living with or any family.
