Daniel J. COSS was born c. 1821 in Laois Co. Ireland. In October 1850 Daniel and his sister or wife, Anna came from Dublin to New York on the "Atlanta". Daniel and his wife Hannah (O'BRIEN) COSS settled in Monroe, Orange, NY. They had seven children: Thomas 1856; Margaret (Maggie); William 1859; Julia 1864; Maria 1866; Katie 1869; and Daniel Jr 1872. They moved in 1871-72 to Waterbury,New Haven, CT. where several other COSS relatives had moved. Daniel owned the COSS Saloon near Railroad Hill. William in 1896 was living in Brooklyn, NY. Thomas and his wife Ellen stayed in Waterbury. Katie and Maria both had died. Julia md. Edward J Quinn, and both of them were dead by 1892, as were Daniel J. and Hannah. Margaret md an O'Laughlin, and in 1920 moved to Pt Huron, MI. I have much COSS data from Ireland, would like to connect with anyone researching the COSS's of Ireland.
