Just a bit of history about that St. Mary's Church in Derby, Ct. My great grandparents, John and Mary Coss owned the house next to the Church that is now the rectory of St. Mary's. They sold it to the Diocese for $4,000 in 1835 and with that money bought the 180 acre farm our family still owns South of Mendota, Illinois. Just an interesting bit of trivia. I stopped at the rectory one day but got a rather cool reception from the secretary so I didn't push the matter.
