I will start with the first generation I have record of that I am assuming is my Philip Henry Cosner line. His grandfather Christian Kastner was from Neufroschen, Germany. Christian's wife was Utitia (Ottilia) last name unknown. Had at least one child Philip Peter Kastner (Cosner). He born in Neufroshen (Hohfrochen) Germany. Note these spellings are coming direct off my grandmother's papers. Philip married 1st 10/30/1759 in Thaleischweiler, Germany to Caterina Elizabeth Klein. She born Bugalben, Palatinate, Germany. She is buried in the Geisart Cemetery, Scheer, Grant County, West Virginia (off route #46).
Her father was Hanss Adam Klein and he was a potash distiller. Philip married 2nd 4/27/1762 in Thaleischweiler, Germany to Anna Catherina Roth.
Child from 1st marriage;
1. Johann Jacob Cosner DOB 8/1/1760 in Froschen, Germany. Died before 4/13/1824 in Bismark, Grant County, WVa, (then Hardy Co, Va) and is buried in the Geisart Cemetery, WVa. He married Christina Horn. She is also buried at Geisart Cemetery. They had seven children - see below.
Children from 2nd marriage;
1. Eva Elizabeth Cosner DOB 2/5/1763 in Froschen, Germany. Married 1776 to ( ? ) Mauck. I will check to see if I have more info on her and her family.
2. Christian Cosner born in PA
3. Adam Cosner born in PA
4 Philip Cosner born in PA (My Philip ? )
5. John Cosner born PA
I will look closely to see if there is more info for the children.
Children of Johann Jacob and Christina (Horn) Cosner;
1. Jacob Cosner DOB 6/23/1788 in PA. Died 1861. Married Barbara Hawk 9/20/1810.
2. Philipp Cosner DOB 1789 in PA. Died 7/8/1854. Married Dorothey Coler 12/27/1817.
3. Catherine Cosner DOB ca 1789. Married Jonathan Hanlin 9/20/1818.
4. Sarah Cosner DOB 1790. Married William Moreland 1/26/1815.
5. David A. Cosner DOB 4/19/1794. Died 4/30/1863. Married Catherine Hanlin 5/1/1817
6. Christian Cosner DOB 1797. Died 8/2/1874. Married Elizabeth Kizia Hilkey 9/20/1820.
7. John Cosner DOB 8/15/1799. Died 4/17/1881. Married Eva Hanlin 9/20/1821.
