Reba, I keep bumping into you. Are you sure that your Groves are not related to mine? Some of the Groves and Cosners settled near the Upshire-Lewis-Braxton County area of Central West Virginia. Both John and Gen. George Washington Groves family were first delayed, then stayed in Lewis County due to the birth of children on their way to Jackson County and the Ohio River. Most of the Hawks, Marquis and other Groves made it to Ohio and Missouri and futher west.
