We are related to Fredrick Miles Cosman b. 1863 Yarmouth, Yarmouth Co., NS.

Fredrick was a Master Mariner that sailed from Yarmouth, NS to Liverpool, England. Later voyages took him to Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA.

After grounding a ship off Vancouver Island, BC, Fredrick fell in love with the Pacific Northwest.

He returned to Yarmouth and married Clara Hogan in 1905. Their honeymoon was a trip to Seattle, WA.

They purchashed land in Edmonds, WA and raised a family.
